Hours of Operation:Monday – Friday 6:45 – 3:00
The Media Center is the center of information services at Shiloh High School. We support all phases of the instructional program, providing materials, equipment, and instruction. The Media Staff is dedicated to helping students to achieve and to be successful as lifelong learners in the community!

- 32 Student Computer Workstations
- Access to a variety of research databases via Media Instructional Resources
- Book collection in excess of 19,000 volumes including a reference collection , a story collection, and a professional collection
- Periodical subscriptions to over 35 print publications and hundreds of full text online publications
- Newspaper subscriptions to the Gwinnett Daily Post and The Atlanta Journal & Constitution
Circulation of
Materials
In order to check out materials from the Media Center, students must know their student number or have their picture ID available.
- A student may check out up to 7 books at a time for a period of 3 weeks.
- Reference books may be checked out on an overnight basis beginning at 2:15 p.m. until 7:30 the following morning.
- Overdue fines are 5 cents per day per book. (25 cents per day /book for Reference) A student may NOT check out additional materials if he/she has an overdue book or fine.
Admission During School Hours
Students will be admitted to the Media Center during a class period with an agenda book or pass signed by the teacher. All students will SIGN IN when entering the Media Center unless a whole class is entering together.
Admission Before and After School Hours
Students may come in the media center before school starts without a pass. After school, students will need a signed Agenda or a signed teacher pass to enter.
Technology Code
The computers in the Media Center are for RESEARCH or EDUCATIONAL purposes ONLY! There will be NO personal e-mail, chat rooms or games allowed.
