GHSGT registration for returning students During testing week the order is as follows: Language Arts: Monday, March 22; Mathematics: Tuesday, March 23; Science: Wednesday, March 24 and Social Studies: Thursday,March 25. Make-ups for all tests a student may have missed will be the next day during the afternoon make-up session. Friday, March 26 has been reserved for those students needing any test that may have been missed during the week. Participation and achievement on these tests determine whether or not our school achieves AYP (average yearly progress). AYP is used by the State to determine if Shiloh High School has met the Federal Government’s No Child Left Behind legislation. The GHSGT is a group of tests mandated by the Georgia Department of Education. All students must pass these tests to be eligible to receive a diploma in the State of Georgia. The areas covered are Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The State of Georgia has a website that has information about each of these tests. It is http://www.doe.k12.ga.us/ci_testing.aspx?PageReq=CI_TESTING_GHSGT. Preview the information on this page. Print out a copy of the content description and study guide for each test. You may also go to the top center of the screen where you will find a drop down menu. First, select Testing Programs. Then, find grades 9-12 and you will find more links available to take practice tests. I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the information found on this website. Should you have any questions regarding testing, please call 770-736-4353 or email Chuck Sears, Assistant Principal and Testing Coordinator at chuck_sears@gwinnett.k12.ga.us.
