Concert Orchestra -The purpose of this orchestra is to build ensemble skills and gain more facility. It is made up primarily of freshmen and is the first group they can participate in upon entering Shiloh High School. This group plays III-IV level music. Meeting times: Every day during class and extra rehearsals as needed for concerts; also one festival per year. Financial obligations: Responsible for required concert attire. Faculty Advisor(s)

Dance Team - The purpose of the dance team is to provide a forum for trained dancers,
support athletics at Shiloh, as well as perform at basketball games, special assemblies, and competition. Interested students must participate in the tryout process. Meeting Times: TBA. Financial Obligations: $400.00. Faculty Advisor(s):

Debate Team** - The purpose of the debate team is to engage in forensic competition with other
debate teams and clubs throughout the metro Atlanta area. The focus is on researching, speaking, and persuading abilities. Meeting Times: The debate team will meet on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room A38 to delegate assignments and discuss strategies; however, individual research is very time consuming and will vary by student and topic. Most of this research and preparation will be done on the student's own time outside of school. Additional meeting times will be scheduled as needed. Financial Obligations: $50; Depending on competition requirements, additional funds might be required for transportation, accommodations, and/or entrance fees. Faculty Advisor(s): Janine Madaffari

DECA* - An international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service. More than 180,000 high school students are members of High School DECA with over 5,000 chapters operating in the United States, Canada, Germany and Puerto Rico. DECA's high school programs prepare future leaders in the career clusters of business administration and management; entrepreneurship; finance; marketing, sales and service; and hospitality and tourism. Meeting Times: Participate in fundraisers and community service projects; and compete in the Regional and/or State DECA competition, participate in community service projects. Financial Obligations: Annual Dues-$25.00. Faculty Advisor(s): Kara Knittel

Drama Club - The Drama club seeks to provide opportunities for any student at Shiloh High School to experience the art and craft of theater. Through workshops and activities related to theater and theater craft. Meeting Times: Once a month. Financial Obligations: $5.00 Annually. Faculty Advisor(s): Elisabeth Cooper

FBLA - Future Business Leaders of America - Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. FBLA promotes business leadership, strengthens self confidence, provides exposure to American free enterprise, encourages community service, teaches efficient money management, helps develop character, assists in the establishment of occupational goals, and facilitates the transition from school to work. Meeting Times: Once per month or as needed from 2:20pm - 3:20pm. Financial Obligations: Annual club dues $20.00 per year. Faculty Advisor(s):Jamilya Mayo

French Club* - The French Club is a language club established to provide students with cultural experiences outside of the classroom. Financial Obligations: Members will meet usually every month by calendar determined by the sponsor and club officers. Financial Obligations: Students must pay a small club fee yearly to join. Faculty Advisor(s): Janene Sullivan

Future Educators of America (FEA) - FEA is a club established to help students explore teaching as a career option, as well as provide them with a realistic understanding of the opportunities in the field of Education. Students are also encouraged to take part in community service projects and to volunteer time as needed with students at our cluster schools. Meeting Times: Members will meet usually every month by calendar determined by the sponsor and club officers. Financial Obligations: Students must pay a small club fee yearly to join. General's Journal Newspaper* -Provide news for the students at Shiloh High School and their parents. Meeting Times: Everyday during class. Financial Obligations: None. Faculty Advisor(s): Sheryl Stewart

Georgia Math League - The Georgia Math League offers a competitive math contest between member schools for the purpose of allowing students to engage in higher thinking math skills and to enjoy practicing math concepts. Awards are given to the schools with the highest cumulative averages and to individual students with the highest scores. Meeting Times: Oct. 24, Nov. 28, Jan. 9, Feb. 6, Mar. 6, Apr. 10. Financial Obligations: None. Faculty Advisor(s): Joanne Folger, Kay Cooksey

German Club* - The German Club is a language club established to provide students with cultural experiences outside of the classroom. HUGS Club (Helping Unite General Students)
- Formerly known as the Special Club, the HUGS Club plans activities for students with and without disabilities to build friendships and enjoy each other's company. Meeting Times: Meetings 2:20pm - 3:00pm; Activities 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Dates determined by members on a month to month basis. Financial Obligations: $10 dues.
